Summary
To provide frontline diagnostic support for software and hardware problems in order to maintain continuity of service to ensure patient care at all times. To support processes for all Pathology systems. To support processes for the electronic Order Communications system. To support IT processes and maintenance of the Pathology IT estate. To support improvement of Pathology Systems and promote Service development and improvement within Pathology. To support the specific technical and administrative duties in the IT section of the Department, to facilitate the smooth running of the service. Provide support both by telephone and on site, to users and clinical sponsors to enable change to user profiles as required. Provide a fast, friendly and efficient Call Handling Service to Trust staff and other associated agencies who are experiencing IT related problems. This post is further enhanced with support and training to enable the post holder to resolve minor and medium term issues either immediately or within a specified time period. To monitor and process fault calls and IT enquiries. To assist the Cellular and Micro Pathology IT Team Manager and the Pathology IT Manager with the delivery of day-to-day tasks and projects, taking ownership of work stream progress, and other elements of project support, under the supervision of the Cellular and Micro Pathology IT Team Manager or Pathology IT Manager. Manages elements of projects to improve IT equipment and systems. Deliver training where necessary on use of IT systems and processes.
