Summary

To work in collaboration with senior colleagues and partners in education to agree priorities for Occupational Therapy support within identified school settings. To complete assessments of children's needs using a range of standardised and non standardised activities. To develop therapy programmes to enable children to access the school environment, develop their skills and participate in school based activities. To provide advice and support to staff in school and parents, to enable therapy recommendations to be integrated into the child's daily routine. To deliver treatment sessions on an individual or small group basis, evaluating the effectiveness of these using agreed outcome measures. To maintain accurate clinical records and produce reports for statutory assessment where required.
