Summary

Our client, a reputable car dealership in Guildford, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team. The Vehicle Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for qualified and experienced mechanics to develop their career within a well-established dealership environment.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct vehicle health checks and comprehensive inspections following manufacturer guidelines

- Perform scheduled vehicle servicing, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups

- Carry out minor repairs, fitting accessories, and basic electrical/mechanical diagnosis

- Maintain accurate and detailed paperwork for all services and repairs

- Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify faults and identify further issues

- Assist with warranty repairs and customer requests efficiently and professionally

- Support the workshop team to ensure high standards of vehicle care and customer satisfaction

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification

- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with good mechanical and electrical systems knowledge

- Full UK driving licence is essential

- Self-motivated with a team-oriented approach and high standards of workmanship

- Enthusiastic about further training, including brand and electric vehicle accreditation

- Diagnostics, MOT testing, and EV systems experience are advantageous but not mandatory
