You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective services and supporting our mission to transform lives.About the RoleManage housing management and administration functions within the Lifehouse including repairs, voids management, rents and audits.Oversee facilities, maintenance, and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and a focus on economic and environmental sustainability.Ensure that the building is fully compliant with health and safety quality standards, as well as Salvation Army policies and procedures.Monitor service delivery, financial processes, procurement activity and budget performance.Work collaboratively with Salvation Army Homes, local authorities, partner agencies, contractors, and internal departments to ensure the effective delivery of services and positive outcomes for residentsEnsure robust systems and processes are in place to support effective communication, record keeping, governance, and service delivery and improvement.Lead a team of 2 part time administration assistants, two maintenance people and two part time catering assistants,  encouraging them in their professional development within the service.Ensure effective communication systemsEnsure that the accommodation is maintained to a high standardCollaborate with the Chaplain and promote The Salvation Army’s mission and values.Deputise for the Service Manager and provide on-call support as part of the duty system.What We’re Looking ForStrong experience in facilities management and administration.Proven ability to manage budgets and financial processes.Knowledge of health and safety, building maintenance, and occupancy agreements.Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.Experience managing and developing staff.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.Commitment to continuous professional development.Willingness to work within and promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army.DesirableExperience working with vulnerable people.Project management or health and safety qualifications.Valid first aid certificateWhy Join Us?Be part of a supportive management team.Make a real impact in your community.Work in an environment that values integrity, accountability, compassion, passion, respect, and boldness.Apply now to help us deliver high-quality support services and transform lives!The Salvation Army is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people.
