We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed people, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages.Putney Vale is a dedicated post 16-19 provision in a brand-new, purpose-designed building in Putney Vale. This provision will offer a fantastic range of opportunities, including academic and vocational qualifications, as well as post-16 courses, all complemented by enriching experiences like volunteering, enterprise projects, and preparation for adulthood. Our Post-16 site in Putney Vale will focus on vocational training, life skills, and independence to prepare students for adulthood.Benefits:Exclusive access to reward and discount schemeBlue Light discount cardFree parkingFree lunchesComprehensive inductionCommitment to your ongoing training and career progressionPaid for enhanced PVG/DBSWellbeing supportCycle to work scheme and more!Main duties:Work collaboratively to uphold and embed to the school’s vision of raising aspirations and fulfilling potential of our young peopleChampion an environment that is safe and emotionally secure, demonstrating empathy, adaptability and resilience in meeting and supporting the emotional needs of our young peopleAct as an advocate of the school’s policies, particularly those relating to safeguarding and behaviour, taking a supportive and versatile approach, using a variety of techniques to support positive emotional regulation, to maintain a positive learning environmentEnsure that Aspris policies and procedures are followed, in particular, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of recording activity related to the young person.Promote independent learning, self-esteem, and emotional regulation among studentsDemonstrate a commitment to regular training, both mandatory and CPD in order to enhance understanding of additional needs and behavioural challenges and ensure that we can provide an individual approach to support for each young person, that leverages a range of adaptable, proven techniquesSupport our young people in managing their additional needs, enabling them to effectively access education and develop their personal emotional resilienceProvide emotional guidance during crises, employing de-escalation strategies, ensuring that we invest in both preventative and early intervention strategies, based on our knowledge of each young person and Aspris commitment to an individual approach to their needsDeliver intervention sessions as directed by the Pastoral ManagerAssist young people in identifying and managing their emotions to develop self-help strategiesSafeguard and promote the welfare of students, acting as a source of advice on safety and safeguardingWork collaboratively with all colleagues, in particular teaching colleagues, in managing incidents, offering advice on effective behaviour management and de-escalation techniquesAssist in implementing individual pupil plans, including pastoral support plans and behaviour contractsContribute to the design and delivery of staff CPD sessions focused on behaviour for learning, SEND and strategies relating to the Aspris modalitiesParental and External LiaisonFoster strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies, in order to build a robust understanding of young person needs, promoting confidence in our school commitment and delivery and build a collaborative approach to outcomesEstablish constructive relationships with parents to support home-school communication and facilitate attendance, holding meetings where appropriate
