Location: South London - covering Penge and surrounding areas

Rate: £45 per hour

Contract: Temporary - Ongoing

Daniel Owen are currently recruiting for an experienced

Maintenance Surveyor to join a busy property services team, covering

Penge and the surrounding South London areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable Surveyor with experience within

social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs.

The Role

As a Maintenance Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out property inspections and surveys, identifying maintenance requirements and ensuring works are appropriately specified and progressed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carrying out property inspections and maintenance surveys across Penge and surrounding areas.
  • Identifying defects and determining appropriate remedial works.
  • Raising and managing repair and maintenance works.
  • Preparing specifications and schedules of work where required.
  • Monitoring contractors and ensuring works are completed to the required standard.
  • Investigating and reporting on property defects.
  • Liaising with residents, contractors and internal teams.
  • Ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Maintaining accurate records and providing reports as required.
  • Ensuring all works comply with relevant health & safety, housing and building regulations.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working as a
  • Maintenance Surveyor, Repairs Surveyor or Building Surveyor within social housing or property maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of
  • responsive repairs and property maintenance.

  • Experience diagnosing building defects and specifying remedial works.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the mobile nature of the role.
