Summary

Job Title: HAF Project Officer

Working Pattern: 37 hours (occasional weekend work required).

Salary: £36,581 - £40,440

Location: Lincolnshire (Hybrid)

Fixed Term Contract until March 2029

Closing Date: 13 September 2026

Interviews: 24 September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated HAF Project Officer to join the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme until March 2029. While funding is currently confirmed until this date, the programme may continue beyond March 2029 subject to future government funding.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for project delivery and a commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families through access to food, nutrition and physical activity initiatives.

As a HAF Project Officer, you will coordinate the delivery of the HAF programme across Lincolnshire, ensuring that commissioned providers operate in line with the Department for Education's HAF framework and maintain high-quality provision for primary and secondary school-aged children and young people.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth and development of the programme. You will build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including council services, health professionals, leisure providers, educational settings, and voluntary and community sector organisations to ensure successful programme delivery across the county.

This is a pivotal role that contributes to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people across Lincolnshire. We are looking for an individual who can work collaboratively, think creatively, and engage effectively with diverse audiences through a range of communication channels.

The HAF Programme forms part of Lincolnshire's wider approach to supporting school age childcare, and is closely aligned with developments in wraparound childcare, and free breakfast club provision. Within Lincolnshire, the HAF project Officer works closely with the school age childcare team developing a joined-up approach to supporting families throughout both term time and school holidays.

This role requires regular travel to sites across Lincolnshire, some of which may not be easily accessible by public transport. You must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.
