Summary
-Location: NorwichReporting to: NSOR Supervisor / Site Security ManagerHours: 08:00 - 20:00SIA Licence Required
Role PurposeTo provide a visible, proactive security presence across designated operational areas, supporting the reduction of crime and anti-social behaviour while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for colleagues, visitors, and the wider community.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Duties and Patrolling
-Liaise with the National Security Operations Room (NSOR) at the start, during, and end of shifts.
-Always maintain effective communication while on duty.
-Ensure all equipment is issued, used, and recorded correctly.
-Report incidents and activity in a timely and accurate manner.
-Maintain a visible presence to deter crime and provide reassurance.
Security Support & Engagement
-Support wider security operations as required.
-Respond to management or NSOR requests.
-Engage professionally with colleagues, visitors, and members of the public.
-Provide a helpful, approachable, and customer-focused service.
Person SpecificationEssential
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions.
-Reliable, professional, and proactive
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
Desirable
-SIA Door Supervisor Licence
-Previous security or community safety experience
-First Aid qualification
-Full UK driving licence.
