Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Children's ADHD Service as Clinical Lead. We are seeking a highly skilled clinician and leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for Children & Young People with ADHD.

 This senior role combines advanced clinical practice, strategic leadership, service development, and non-medical prescribing responsibilities. The successful post holder will provide expert clinical leadership to the ADHD Nursing Team while maintaining a clinical caseload and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

 As Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring children, young people, and families receive timely, safe, and effective care.

This is a full-time position based in Norwich, with flexibility regarding work location subject to service requirements and mutual agreement.

• Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management for Children & Young People with suspected or diagnosed ADHD and Neurodevelopmental conditions.

• Work autonomously to assess patients, prescribe medication, formulate care plans, make referrals and support safe discharge.

• Deliver high-quality, patient centred care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Provide Clinical Leadership, support service development, contribute to audits and quality improvement initiatives, supervise staff and promote evidence-based practice while ensuring compliance with NMC standards, Trust Policies and advanced clinical practice.

• Undertake comprehensive assessments, investigations and treatment planning for Children & Young People with ADHD and Autism.

• Prescribe and monitor medication within scope of practice, maintain accurate medical records and coordinate referrals to health, social care and specialist services.

• Provide nurse-led clinics, reviews and discharge processes, ensuring effective communication with primary care.

• Lead clinical audits, investigate incidents, support staff development and supervision, contribute to service improvement and pathway development, monitor standards of care, analyse service data and ensure safe, effective use of resources while maintaining professional and regulatory standards.
