Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of clients by delivering personalised care in a respectful and professional manner. Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility

Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as required

Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met

Maintain accurate care plans tailored to each individual’s needs

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a friendly environment

Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space

Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to senior staff

Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided

Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication

Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating care plans

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds

Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
