Location: Swindon
Pay: Up to £23.00 per hour | £47,840 basic salary | OTE £52,624+
Hours: Monday to Friday | Early & Late Shifts | 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00

We are recruiting for an experienced
HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled
HGV Mechanic or
Truck Technician to work on modern vehicles, access manufacturer training and earn up to £52,624 through overtime.
The successful
HGV Technician will join a professional workshop environment where quality workmanship, diagnostics and keeping customers’ vehicles on the road are the priority.
Key Responsibilities
As an
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will:
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trucks and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete inspections, defect repairs and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure DVSA standards are met
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
• Work safely as part of a professional commercial vehicle workshop team
Skills & Experience Required
To be considered for this
HGV Technician role, you will need:
• Previous experience as an
HGV Technician,
HGV Mechanic or
Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Experience working on trucks, trailers or commercial vehicles
• Full UK driving licence
• HGV Class 1 licence desirable but not essential
