Summary

Heat Treatment Operative – Redditch

Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday

We're seeking a dedicated Heat Treatment Operative to join a specialist manufacturing team in Redditch. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in engineering and manufacturing — full training is provided, with pay progression on offer once you're fully up to speed.

No prior heat treatment experience is needed. You'll receive a comprehensive training programme covering all aspects of the role, typically taking 3 to 6 months, after which you'll be working independently and managing your own daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities

    • Set up and operate heat treatment furnaces safely and efficiently

    • Load and unload components with care and precision

    • Monitor furnace operations and production processes to ensure quality standards

    • Maintain accurate production records using computer systems

    • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams to record and share information

    • Clean components prior to heat treatment using specialised equipment and procedures

    • Comply with all quality, health and safety, and operational guidelines

    Candidate Requirements

      • Strong attention to detail

      • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams

      • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures accurately

      • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

      • Reliable, self-motivated, and keen to learn

      • Previous experience in manufacturing or engineering is advantageous but not essential
