Summary
The role holder will lead on managing a new dedicated facility, to support DWP alongside wider Government. This is a cross-cutting role that requires knowledge of the team’s wider responsibilities to provide a robust resilient service to DWP and its partners.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and a be eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. You will also need to undergo additional security clearance checks, with the offer of employment being conditional on obtaining all necessary security clearances.
Our team provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and as a result, job holders will be expected to work as part of an on-call rota.
The role requires travel to different DWP sites and Government agencies and occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and oversee the new dedicated facility’s daily operation.
- Assist the provision of strategic level communications, and the development and implementation of local high level security policy.
- Co-ordination of activities for application of high security activities across partner organisations and provide assurance to senior stakeholders.
- Build stakeholder relationships with other Security teams and to establish standard high level security requirements and delivery mechanisms (e.g., training, communication messages etc.)
- Stakeholder engagement with relevant authorities, including accreditors, to ensure physical security measures have been certified to the appropriate standard.
- Overseeing the control and management of CRYPTO, including rigorous and regular audits.
- Oversee the control and management of Rosa ICT systems, including rigorous and regular audits.
- Building relationships with organisations to help identify key issues and resolutions to assist in business delivery in conjunction with the wider Security Unit Rosa Information Governance team.
- Oversee and manage the departments and partner’s Rosa budgetary/charging requirements.
General
- Define and implement local emergency action (Business Continuity) in accordance with HMG and / or organisational instructions.
- Investigate and report all local security incidents / breaches.
- Work closely with the Department’s personnel security staff, to communicate appropriate security vetting requirements when required.
- Deliver local training and guidance to authorised users
- Support internal and external audits and assurance activities
- Lead the regular delivery of MI on KPIs and SLAs.
- Line management responsibilities
- Engaging with internal / external stakeholder to provide subject matter expertise / advice on secure communications in line with required standard and in accordance with policy and regulations.
