Health Care Assistant – Zero-Hours
Role: Health Care Assistant (HCA)
Location: Care and nursing homes across Merseyside and Lancashire.
Hours of Work:
Zero hour - Variable hours – Flexible working
Hours will be variable depending on the needs of our clients and your availability. Shifts will generally include:
Early shifts
Late shifts
Long day shifts
Night shifts
Shifts will be offered based on your availability and the staffing requirements of our clients.
About the Role:
A&M Care and Support Ltd is looking for caring, reliable and experienced Health Care Assistants to join our growing temporary staffing team.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents within care and nursing homes across Merseyside and Lancashire. You will work as part of a professional care team, helping to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
This role offers flexibility through a zero-hours contract, allowing you to accept shifts that fit around your availability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred care to residents.
Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
Assist residents with mobility and transfers where required.
Support with nutrition and hydration.
Complete and maintain accurate care records.
Observe and report any changes in a resident's condition or wellbeing.
Promote residents' dignity, independence and choice.
Follow individual care plans and the policies and procedures of A&M Care and Support Ltd and the care home.
Work effectively as part of the care team.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality and safeguarding at all times.
