Summary

About the role

I support the Trade Planning Team to identify and deliver growth opportunities in seasonal events and promotions space, by producing clear and insightful reporting.

You will be responsible for

• Build robust event cascades that account for space constraints, phasing requirements, and country-specific dynamics.

• Interface with the store space database to ensure store lists are accurate and fully aligned to available event space.

• Design and deliver timely, insightful analysis for strategic projects, including space data, sales, density, and volume performance.

• Develop clear, decision-led reporting for space modelling, optimisation, and allocation to support Event Manager decision-making.

• Issue accurate and timely data to SRM and Supply Chain partners, ensuring space plans and store lists correctly reflect event execution.

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex data issues to ensure robust and reliable analysis.

• Support the end-to-end process from planning and forecasting through to post-event performance review and insight.

• Proactively identify opportunities to standardise, simplify, and automate processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Work closely with Event Managers, Space, Range and Merchandising, Store Ordering, and Property teams to ensure plans and space are fully aligned and executed effectively.

• Standing over the loading, extraction and transformation of large datasets from the data warehouse.

• Conduct ad hoc research and analysis to diagnose recent performance trends and operational issues.

You will need

• Degree in a quantitative or retail subject.

• Prior work experience in retail, analytics or merchandising.

• Experience working in an analytical role is desirable, but not essential.

• Familiarity with some data manipulation, analytical and/or statistical tools (MS Excel, SQL, Python, R, VBA etc.) would be an asset.

• Understanding of cascading and range mix management.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a natural ability to communicate insight.

• Experience using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning.

• Good written and spoken communication skills.

• Ability to manage own workload to tight deadlines and to work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
