Summary
The Best Connection are currently seeking a Class 2 (Category C) Driver for our client, a leading independent Builders' Merchant, based at their Seahouses branch.
This is a temporary ongoing position, however, there is possibility for the right candidate to become permanent if the role is a good fit.
The Role:
- Delivering building materials and timber to trade and residential sites across the local area.
- Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks and maintaining records.
- Acting as a professional face of the company at the point of delivery.
Shift Pattern & Pay:
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 17:00.
- Hourly Rate: £16.50 per hour.
- Overtime: Paid at x1.5 (£24.75 per hour) after 8 hours worked each day.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid HIAB Certification (ALLMI or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes).
- Experience in the construction supply or merchant industry is highly desirable.
