Location: Hucknall, Nottingham

Pay: £14.50 per hour + Holiday Pay OR £18.00 per hour Umbrella

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Temporary

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated

Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse within a community recovery service

You will work closely with service users, families, healthcare professionals and partner agencies to provide person-centred support, reduce substance-related harm and help individuals make positive and sustainable changes in their lives

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an allocated caseload and act as the main Care Coordinator for service users
  • Complete screening, assessments and personalised recovery plans
  • Use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change and engagement
  • Coordinate tailored packages of care and support
  • Deliver 1:1 key work, POD and group sessions
  • Complete risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management plans
  • Triage service users and make appropriate onward referrals
  • Work closely with prescribing clinicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Promote harm reduction, overdose prevention and safer drug use
  • Provide health education around blood-borne viruses (BBVs) and safer substance use
  • Support Naloxone distribution and Needle Exchange services
  • Complete appropriate screening, including urine and saliva testing and DBST
  • Connect service users with mutual aid, peer support and recovery communities
  • Build effective relationships with GPs, hospitals, health services and partner agencies
  • Promote social reintegration, resilience, independence and long-term recovery
  • Maintain accurate, timely and confidential case records
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the service, including duty cover and reception responsibilities

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within substance misuse, drug and alcohol, recovery or related support services
  • Strong understanding of recovery-focused practice and harm reduction
  • Experience completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments
  • Ability to manage an allocated caseload effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary or multi-agency environment
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse and underrepresented communities
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach
  • Commitment to promoting independence, resilience and positive recovery outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a confident and compassionate practitioner with a genuine passion for supporting people affected by substance misuse

You will be comfortable managing a caseload, working with complex needs and engaging individuals who may face significant barriers to recovery

A strong understanding of

harm reduction, motivational interviewing and recovery-focused support will be highly valuable, alongside the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and wider partner agencies
