Summary
Job Summary To provide administrative support within the administration team and to all members of the practice team. Ensuring that all information is recorded in appropriate clinical systems. Support duties will include inputting data, care record management, recall processing, scanning, handling telephone enquiries, email management and post sorting. Job Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Culling and sorting patient records and letters in preparation for summarising. Opening and sorting post. Managing and maintaining the practices email inboxes. Managing the practices accurx system for admin. Scanning post/documents and actioning accordingly. Processing forms. Digitalisation of clinical records. Preparing invoices for forms/requests from. Filing and retrieving paperwork. Retrieve and re-file records as requested, ensuring that strict alphabetical order is adhered to. Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc. are stored or filed in correct records. Ensure records are kept neat and tidy and in good repair with all necessary. information recorded correctly on the outer cover where applicable. Provide administrative support to members of the primary health care team in the following areas ensuring appropriate practice records are kept up to date o Billing and invoices (payable to the Practice) o Forms/medical examination requests o Prepare Subject Access Requests for processing. Ensure that patients are invited for clinical intervention and assessment as per the practice recall systems Other Responsibilities Personal/Professional Development The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the Practice as part of this employment, such training to include: Participation in an annual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development Assume responsibility for ensuring mandatory training is completed in a timely manner Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work Support the development of others to maximise potential Actively promote the workplace as a learning environment, encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice Participate in implementing change Contribute and participate in the development of local guidelines, protocols and standards Participate in the engagement of practice-based commissioning or similar initiatives Keep up to date with new developments locally and nationally identifying those that will enhance the teams work Prioritise own workload and ensure effective time-management strategies are embedded in own practice
