Electronic Design Engineer required by a leading engineering and technology business, based near Tewkesbury to join their growing team.

Working alongside a team of experienced engineers, the successful Electronic Design Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and manufacture of electronic hardware, with a strong focus on PCB design and layout. Working on a wide variety of projects, from concept through to production.

Main Duties; Electronic Design Engineer

• Design, develop, and support electronic circuits and hardware systems for both new and existing products.

• Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.

• Select electronic components and manage associated component libraries and footprints.

• Participate in Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews.

• Support prototype assembly, board bring-up, testing, and validation activities.

• Investigate and resolve hardware issues using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and test procedures.

• Liaise with PCB manufacturing and assembly partners to support production activities.

• Work collaboratively throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

• Maintain accurate engineering records, revision control, and project documentation.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Electronic Design Engineer

• Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.

• Multi-layer PCB design experience.

• Understanding of IPC standards and EMC compliance requirements.

• Experience with circuit simulation tools such as SPICE.

• Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, C, C#, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or engineering data management platforms.

• Experience of taking products from concept through to manufacture and ongoing support.
