Summary

The Department of Oncology would like to recruit a Senior Clinical Trials Data Manager to assist an experienced multi-disciplinary Cambridge Cancer Drug Development (CCDD) team, running both commercial and non-commercially funded cancer clinical trials at the Cambridge Cancer Trials (CCTC) Clinical Operations.

Currently led by Dr Simon Pacey with fellow University Academic Consultant Medical Oncology Physicians - Dr Bristi Basu and Dr Richard Baird, our research goals are to optimise the "science-led" clinical application of novel therapies for cancer, including "first into man" (Phase I) and associated studies which are a major element of the research undertaken by the Cambridge Cancer Centre.

Funding: funding supporting this position is available for 12 months in the first instance.

To support the professional data lead/Principal data manager with senior oversight and core responsibility of managing all aspects of the clinical trials data, from trial set-up through to database lock and leading on the strategy to achieve a clean data set for commercial and non-commercially sponsored trials using a variety of data capture tools. The post holder will use effective communication, organisational and other relevant administrative skills in liaising with external agencies and internal teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data submitted as guided by relevant research governance frameworks, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), data integrity principles as well as study-specific protocols and guidelines. They will also have relevant skills and experience in data analyses to inform the management on trials participants’ recruitment metrics, genomics data, finance reports and/or other datasets, as required to support study feasibility assessments, recruitment performances, business decisions and strategies.
