We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Housing Support Worker to support vulnerable adults and young people living within our supported accommodation services in Preston. This is an opportunity to make a real difference every day, helping people overcome challenges, build confidence and take positive steps towards a more independent future About the role You'll work alongside residents who may be facing a range of challenges, providing practical and person-centred support that focuses on their strengths, aspirations and potential. Building trusted relationships will be at the heart of everything you do. You'll help residents achieve their goals, develop life skills, access opportunities and work towards greater independence, whilst working closely with partner agencies and professionals to provide the right support at the right time. What we're looking for We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping vulnerable adults and young people achieve positive change. You'll have: Experience supporting people through challenging circumstances, focusing on their strengths and potential.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Knowledge of safeguarding principles and supporting vulnerable adults and young people.The ability to work effectively with partner agencies and professionals. It would be great if you also have: Experience within housing, support, homelessness or similar services.An understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.Access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
