Summary

Advice & Support Lead needed in Derby

This is a temporary role and the rate is £20.66ph PAYE

The reference number is: 5303948

The successful candidate will deliver confident, proactive and solutions‑focused HR advice, acting as a trusted expert on sickness absence and employee relations policy and practice. They will manage cases end‑to‑end, ensuring managers receive clear, consistent guidance that aligns with employment legislation and organisational policy.

They will work collaboratively across HR Operations, the HR Business Partner network, Health Safety and Wellbeing and Legal Services to progress complex ER and attendance matters, contributing to Appeals and Employment Tribunal processes where required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong influencing skills, excellent communication and a credible, customer‑focused approach, using data and insight to drive results, continuous improvement and a resilient, ‘can do’ mindset. They will also support the review, development and delivery of employment policies, coaching and training to strengthen people management capability across the organisation.
