Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team to ensure the ongoing development of the ICNARC and CCMDS database system, ensuring accuracy and validity of the care organisation data submission. 

You will require a proactive and dynamic approach to data analysis and reporting, ensuring key quality indicators on all documentation is accurately recorded and inputted, and where may issues arise, that this is escalated to the lead consultant / nurse / clinical director and/or directorate manager as applicable.

In addition, you will provide assistance to the clinical director and critical care consultants in the co-ordination of the biweekly M&M and MDT meeting; this will include recording actions and outcomes and national data collection, and other data collection identified by the MDT.

• Timely and accurate submissions of data to ICNARC and CCMDS database systems.  Ensuring knowledge and expertise is used to interpret data and ensure its accuracy before submission.

• To retrieve raw data from a variety of sources, including medical records and hospital information systems for the purpose of data analysis, reporting and presenting at national, regional and Alliance level.

• Provide clinical and management teams with reports and analysis that ensures benchmarking is undertaken and key quality indicators for critical care nationally are addressed.

• Support the clinical teams with project developments and report generation from the Medicus database and CCMDS to ensure benchmarking and achieving key quality indicators are achieved.  All patient data will be handled with utmost sensitivity following data protection guidelines and also the organisations information governance policies.

• Support the clinical teams with timely data retrieval and submission of reports and teaching material to the critical care team. Acting as a bridge between clinical teams and data systems.

• Facilitation of and attendance to the fortnightly MDT and Mortality & Morbidity meetings ensuring they run effectively and have the necessary information required to function.  This includes reporting and maintaining all related documentation and information and ensuring team decisions are recorded accurately onto designated programs.
