About the Employer
We have a rewarding opportunity to support a very kind and gentle lady who asks for little from life. She has no sight, is deaf, and is struggling with the sadness of losing her beloved husband after many years together. She is looking for a caring and compassionate Personal Assistant who can provide companionship, support alongside her loving family, and help bring comfort and enjoyment back into her daily life. The role involves supporting her: Around 8:00am each morning for approximately 45 minutes Around 12:00 noon each day for approximately 45 minutes A further 3-hour visit on Saturdays The hours may be split between more than one Personal Assistant. For example, if you are only available for the morning or lunchtime calls, we would still be pleased to hear from you. This role would suit someone who is patient, kind, reliable, and passionate about supporting others. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to her daily life by providing both practical assistance and valued companionship.

About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position as you will be required to administer medication.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
