We are seeking a caring and reliable Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for young teenage girl with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Separation Anxiety Disorder.Based in Morpeth, support will initially take place at home and within the local community. Bella follows a personalised educational programme, with a focus on practical life skills, confidence building ,enjoyable experiences. She enjoys Roblox, Minecraft, trampolining, swimming, and visiting local shops and cafés.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as support may include taking Bella swimming, to leisure activities and on community outings.

The role is for 10 hours per week during term time, ideally delivered across 2 or 3 weekday afternoons until 6pm.

The family will be as flexible as possible around Bella's educational timetable and rota.

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
• Understanding of autism and sensory processing differences
• Ability to support social and leisure activities
• Full UK driving licence
• Access to own vehicle
• Safeguarding awareness

We are looking for someone who is calm, patient and gently spoken. Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs is essential. An understanding of autism, sensory processing and challenging behaviour would be beneficial. Due to sensory sensitivities, a non-smoker is preferred.
