Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established municipal workshop in Hampshire, for the position of Vehicle Technician. This Vehicle Technician role offers a unique opportunity for skilled motor trade professionals to join a reputable organisation committed to quality service and employee development.

The ideal Vehicle Technician will be a fully qualified Technician or someone with relevant experience, eager to work in a supportive, family-friendly environment. The Vehicle Technician role involves working on a diverse range of vehicles, including cars, light commercial vehicles, and trucks, within a friendly team dedicated to excellence.

Benefits:

- Salary up to £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience

- Overtime paid at time and a half

- Sociable working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–16:00

- Opportunity to work on a wide variety of vehicle types

- Potential to maintain your MOT licence (if qualified) through other workshops within the company

Duties:

- Conduct vehicle servicing and repairs efficiently and accurately

- Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment

- Perform visual health checks on vehicles

- Use Autodata diagnostics software for fault finding

- Complete work within specified timeframes and adhere to quality standards

- Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service

- Support the workshop team as necessary

Requirements:

- Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or time-served with relevant experience

- Full UK driving licence

- Experience or knowledge as a LCV Technician or HGV Technician is preferred

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills

- MOT licence (if held) can be maintained at another site within the company, although the Petersfield workshop itself does not have MOT facilities
