Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable Accident Repair Centre in Penrith, for a skilled MET Technician/MET Fitter to join their prestigious team. The successful MET Fitter will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical and bodywork repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety standards are met. Duties of a MET Technician:

- Conduct mechanical and bodywork repairs on allocated vehicles

- Dismantling, fault-finding, diagnostics, and re-assembly with new parts

- Perform inspections and testing to ensure vehicle safety and quality standards

- Identify faults or additional work required, prioritising safety and compliance

- Carry out road tests in a safe and legal manner to confirm repairs

- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

Requirements of a MET Technician:

- Proven experience as an MET Fitter or similar role within an accident repair environment

- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness

- Good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently within a team

- Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively

- ATA accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential

- Full driving licence
