Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor position based in Arnold, Nottingham. This is a key role within a well-established independent automotive business that has earned a strong reputation for delivering high-quality customer service and vehicle maintenance solutions. The successful Service Advisor will play a vital part in providing exceptional customer experiences, managing vehicle bookings, and supporting the workshop team.

Duties of a Service Advisor:

- Welcoming customers and understanding their vehicle service and repair needs

- Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer appointments

- Providing regular updates to customers regarding repair progress

- Liaising with technicians and workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow

- Preparing estimates and obtaining customer authorisation for additional work

- Explaining repairs and servicing options clearly and professionally

- Handling customer queries in a professional manner and resolving any issues promptly

- Ensuring all relevant documentation and customer records are accurately completed

- Identifying and suggesting additional services or repairs where appropriate

- Delivering a consistently high level of customer service throughout the customer journey

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Confident in dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone

- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy workshop environment

- Positive, professional attitude with good attention to detail

- Solid understanding of vehicle servicing and repair processes

- Excellent administration skills to maintain accurate records
