The role offers an opportunity to join a local operation supporting the movement and delivery of goods safely and efficiently across planned routes.The roleWe are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to carry out daytime deliveries and collections. You will be responsible for operating the vehicle safely, completing required checks and ensuring loads are secured correctly throughout each journey.Key responsibilities• Drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly• Complete vehicle checks before and after journeys• Carry out deliveries and collections in line with agreed schedules• Secure loads using load straps and other appropriate equipment• Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle records accurately• Follow road safety, transport and site procedures• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and site staffSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, also known as Category C+E• Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience• Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations• Confident using load straps and securing loads safely• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently• Good communication and customer service skillsBenefits• £17.00 to £18.00 per hour• Day shifts• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity visible to local employersApply today.
