Summary

Dispensary Assistant Responsible to : Practice Manager Job Responsibilities: Dispensing acute + repeat prescriptions Dispensing using the Emis computer system Providing a repeat prescription service which includes taking requests by telephone, email and repeat slips. Handing out prescriptions and collecting charges when appropriate Sorting and endorsing prescriptions Ordering appropriate quantities of goods via the wholesaler's computer link Checking goods as and when they are delivered Returning incorrect goods to the wholesalers Stocking shelves, refrigerators and other storage areas using rotation method Disposal of returned unused medicines
