Summary

Specialist skills and experience: We are particularly interested in nurses who have experience in: - Practice nursing or primary care.- District nursing or community nursing.- Long-term condition management.- Diabetes management and review.- Cardiovascular risk management and hypertension.- Asthma and COPD management.- Epilepsy and seizure management.- Leg ulcer assessment and management.- Chronic wound assessment and wound management.- Compression therapy.- Physical health assessment.- Health promotion and preventative healthcare.- Working with patients with complex or multiple health needs. Experience of working within a prison or other secure environment would be advantageous but is not essential. Appropriate induction and support will be provided to nurses who are new to the secure environment. About you You will be an experienced Registered Nurse who is confident in your clinical decision-making and has a particular interest in primary care, long-term conditions and wound management. You will be able to work independently while recognising the importance of effective multidisciplinary working. You will have excellent assessment and communication skills and be able to build therapeutic relationships with patients from a diverse and often complex population. You will demonstrate a commitment to delivering safe, effective and person-centred care and will be able to adapt your practice to the unique requirements of a secure healthcare environment.
