Summary
We are looking to recruit an HCPC-registered, Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to provide parental leave cover for a fixed term period of 12 months.
The post holder will be part of the Clinical Health Psychology and Neuropsychology Department, based at Charing Cross Hospital within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which includes the Northwest London Regional Neurosciences Centre.
The role includes providing specialist neuropsychological assessment and intervention in our outpatient neuropsychological assessment service, which receives referrals from a wide range of specialist neurology and neurosurgery clinics, including cognitive disorders and dementia, traumatic brain injury, movement disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neuro-oncology, infectious diseases, as well as general clinics. There may also be opportunities to provide neuropsychological assessment and intervention within acute inpatient settings
The post holder will be based within the Clinical Health Psychology and Neuropsychology outpatient department and will provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessment for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological disorders referred from specialist neurology and neurosurgery clinics.
The post holder will also contribute to the organisation and delivery of a specialist intervention pathway providing psychological interventions for patients presenting with mental health difficulties associated with Parkinson’s disease.
In addition to direct clinical assessment and intervention, thepost provides opportunities for involvement in service development, staff consultation and training, and research and audit.
Specialist supervision is provided by a senior Clinical Neuropsychologist who is on the BPS regulated Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN
