The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a calm, fast-growing

independent veterinary practice in South West London. The practice places equal importance on patient care and team wellbeing, creating a supportive environment where RVNs can develop their skills and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

The successful Registered Veterinary Nurse will play a hands-on role across

nurse consultations, surgery and inpatient care, including anaesthetic monitoring and routine surgical support. There will also be opportunities to run nurse clinics and mentor Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs), making this an excellent role for an RVN who enjoys variety and supporting others.

What They’re Looking For

The practice is seeking a confident

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who is comfortable working sole charge and assisting with routine surgical procedures. Strong communication skills, a calm approach and a genuine passion for high-quality patient and client care are important.

Working Pattern & Benefits

The practice offers a choice of a

4 or 5-day week, with shared short Saturdays from 9am–2pm. Lunch breaks are protected for a full hour, and the last routine consultation is scheduled one hour before closing, helping the team finish on time.

Benefits include

£30,000–£36,000 salary, excellent overtime rates, private health insurance, 5 weeks’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, staff discounts and genuine opportunities for career progression within an independent and growing practice.

A Practice with Purpose

This is a veterinary practice with sustainability at its heart. It operates using

100% renewable electricity and has been

carbon neutral since 2023, taking responsibility for emissions across areas including energy, deliveries, travel and waste.

The practice also supports reforestation, planting a tree for every new club member and ten trees for VIP members. It is a workplace where caring for pets, people and the planet genuinely goes hand in hand.

For an RVN looking for a supportive independent practice, excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to develop clinically, this could be an ideal next career move.
