Family Help Worker

Do you have the passion, skills and experience to help children, young people and families create positive and lasting change in their lives?

Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same, working within a supportive, skilled and dedicated team? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for Family Help Workers (formerly known as Early Help Workers) to join Lincolnshire County Council's Family Help Service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and families across Lincolnshire, helping them to overcome challenges, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

About the Role

As a Family Help Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people and their families with a wide range of needs. Acting as a key worker, you will undertake assessments, develop plans with families, and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote positive change and improve family wellbeing.

You will work directly with children, young people, parents and carers through both one-to-one and group-based interventions, building strong relationships that help families identify their strengths and achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities include:

Completing Child and Family Assessments to identify strengths, needs and areas for support.

Working collaboratively with children and families to develop and deliver effective plans for change.

Acting as the Lead Professional for Team Around the Child (TAC) cases where appropriate.

Contributing to holistic family support for children subject to Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, and children in care.

Delivering group programmes and targeted interventions.

Providing support to young carers and ensuring their voices are heard.

Working alongside partner agencies to coordinate support and achieve the best possible outcomes for families.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and evolving service that is committed to delivering high-quality support to children and families. In return, you'll be part of a welcoming team that values innovation, collaboration and continuous professional development.

If you're passionate about making a difference and helping families thrive, we would love to hear from you.

Opportunities Available Across Lincolnshire:

We currently have vacancies across a number of our Family Help teams throughout the county, including:

As this is a county-wide recruitment campaign, please indicate within your application which locality or localities you would like to be considered for. You are welcome to select more than one area, and we will take your preferences into account during the recruitment process.
