Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

Near Horsham | £40,000–£55,000 + £6,000 bonus | Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm

Our client is a well-established independent workshop near Horsham, and they're looking for an experienced, all-round Vehicle Technician who knows their way around a spanner — and ideally doesn't need to ask where the spanners are kept.

This is a proper technician's role: good mechanical work, your own ramp, your own space, a small team and excellent money for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

Pretty much all things mechanical.

You'll be diagnosing faults, fixing vehicles, servicing, repairing and generally doing the sort of work that makes customers wonder why their car suddenly costs more than their first house.

You'll have your own ramp and dedicated working area, so no fighting over workspace or playing workshop Tetris with three other technicians.

The workshop currently has a team of just three technicians, so you'll be an important part of a small, experienced team rather than another number on a rota.

Who Are We Looking For?

We're after a genuinely capable technician who:

• Has solid experience across all aspects of mechanical work

• Can diagnose a fault without immediately reaching for the parts cannon

• Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of jobs

• Takes pride in doing things properly — even when nobody's watching

• Has excellent mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability

• Land Rover experience would be a big bonus

• Is reliable, professional and enjoys working as part of a small team

• Knows that "it'll probably be alright" isn't actually a diagnostic procedure

Whether you're a highly experienced Vehicle Technician, Master Technician or simply the person everyone asks when nobody else can figure it out, we'd like to hear from you.
