Summary
An experienced, warm, and meticulous Full-time Live-in Housekeeper Companion is needed by a wonderful Hampstead-based family to provide companionship and day-to-day support for an elderly couple while maintaining their family home.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and will speak fluent English. The family is looking for someone compassionate, reliable, and organised, with previous experience providing companionship and household support. One member of the couple has early-stage Parkinson's disease, so a patient and caring approach is essential. A driver would be a bonus but is not required.
The successful candidate will assist with the couple's daily needs while taking responsibility for the general upkeep of their three-bedroom home. The role also includes preparing healthy meals, planning menus, grocery shopping, and creating a safe, comfortable, and well-organised home environment.
**Private accommodation:** A double bedroom and bathroom
**Working hours:** Monday to Saturday, **11:00 am to 7:00 pm**, **8 hours per day**, for a total of **48 hours per week**.
**Duties include:**
* providing companionship and day-to-day support for an elderly couple
* assisting with daily routines and general care needs
* supporting one family member with early-stage Parkinson's disease
* maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of a three-bedroom home
* sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing household surfaces
* cleaning and sanitising bathrooms and the kitchen
* managing laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen
* loading and unloading the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen organised
* preparing nutritious, healthy meals for the family
* planning meals and following recipes as required
* preparing packed lunches and snacks
* shopping for groceries and household essentials
* maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home environment
The family is looking for someone who can start on 31st August 2026.
