Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Agriculture & Landed Estates - Bristol - Southwest - £41,000+ Flexible/Hybrid Working + Benefits

The Job:

We’re looking for someone with accountancy practice experience who has an interest in working with agricultural and rural businesses.

This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a specialist team, working directly with farming and rural clients across the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review accounts, tax returns and VAT returns

- Manage bookkeeping and financial records

- Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports

- Provide financial and tax advice to agricultural and rural clients

- Identify tax-planning and business opportunities

- Liaise with HMRC when required

- Support with inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters

- Attend farm visits, agricultural events and local markets

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients

- Work closely with farming and rural businesses to help them manage and grow their finances

The Company:

Specialist agricultural accountancy and business advisory environment, working directly with farming and rural businesses across the Southwest.

The candidate

- ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified, or working towards & studying towards an accountancy qualification

- Good knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance

- Strong attention to detail & Confidence dealing directly with clients

- Excellent organisational and communication skills

- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
