Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable family-run automotive service centre based in Frome, Somerset, operating for over 25 years. They are seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join their friendly team. The MOT Tester will play a key role in maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and regulatory compliance within the workshop.

Benefits:

- Up to £40,000 per annum starting salary, dependent on experience

- Overtime paid at enhanced rates of time and a half, subject to availability

- Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am-1:00pm, paid as overtime

Duties:

- Conduct MOT tests in compliance with legal and safety standards

- Perform taxi inspections, VSI checks, and minibus inspections

- Carry out routine vehicle inspections and identify potential issues

- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations

- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

- Liaise effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow

- Keep accurate records of all tests and inspections

Requirements:

- Active Class 4/7 MOT testing licence

- UK driving licence with minimal points

- A Class 5 MOT licence would be highly beneficial but is not essential

- Strong team player with excellent communication skills

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

- Prior experience as an MOT Tester is preferred

- Ability to adhere to workshop safety procedures and standards
