Our client, a reputable and rapidly expanding independent used car supermarket in Derby, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their modern, busy workshop. Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles

- Diagnose faults accurately and perform effective repairs

- Complete MOT tests where qualified and necessary as a Vehicle Technician

- Carry out road tests and ramp inspections to ensure quality workmanship

- Use approved methods and manufacturer standards to undertake repairs

- Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately and promptly

- Maintain high standards of work and customer satisfaction

- Collaborate with colleagues to optimise workshop efficiency

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

- Proven experience in a workshop environment

- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

- MOT Licence would be advantageous but is not essential

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Own tools

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Ability to work effectively within a team in a busy environment
