• Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Working with small groups on targeted interventions
• Helping pupils manage their behaviour and emotions
• Supporting pupils who may struggle with communication or social interaction
• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Adapting activities and communication to suit individual needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom

SEN or additional needs would be highly beneficial. This could come from:
• Schools or education
• SEN settings

• Residential care
• Childcare
• Youth work
• Support work
• Mentoring
• Volunteering
We're also interested in graduates with relevant degrees such as
Psychology, Sociology, Education, Childhood Studies, Childcare, Health & Social Care or other related subjects.
You should be
• Patient and understanding
• Calm and resilient
• Positive and approachable
• Confident building relationships with pupils
• Able to adapt your approach to different needs
• Comfortable supporting challenging behaviour
• Reliable and consistent
• A strong communicator
• Genuinely passionate about helping young people
This is a particularly good opportunity for someone looking to build a career in
SEN, teaching, psychology, education, social care or youth support.
