Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and motivated Health Care Assistant to join the Lytham District Nursing Team.

The successful candidate will be supported by our nursing team and essential training for the role will be provided.

You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and passionate about the delivery of high-quality care.  As a Health Care Assistant, your role will be to assist our patients within their own homes to provide clinical interventions such as taking observations, venepuncture, wound care,  pressure area care and health promotion.  All necessary training for acquiring these skills will be provided by the Trust.

Working alongside skilled health professionals who work within this multidisciplinary team, the department provides a fantastic place to learn and for you to develop your skills.

We are looking to recruit a caring and proactive healthcare assistant to join our team.

You need to have excellent communication skill as you will be required to liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient needs are identified and communicated effectively so that safe decisions are made around patient care.

You will be expected to maintain high standards of nursing care  be personally responsible and accountable for your actions following the Trust’s Policies and Procedures.

You will be expected to maintain accurate written and/or electronic records ensuring all legal requirements are met.

You will need to be prepared to work flexibly to the needs of the service.

Please note, you must hold a valid UK driving licence and have full access to an insured vehicle that you are able to use for work purposes. 

Please note this role will not be eligible for sponsorship as it doesn't meet the minimum salary requirements for a skilled worker visa, therefore you must have appropriate right to work in the UK or your application will not be progressed to the next stage of Recruitment.
