Horley, Surrey - SEN Cover Supervisor Full-Time | Term Time Only September Start (or ASAP)

Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Horley to recruit a Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and looking to gain valuable experience within a specialist educational setting.

The school caters for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, providing a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting students both academically and emotionally.

The RoleYou will:

Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Deliver pre-set work across a range of subjects.

Support students with a variety of SEN needs, helping them access learning successfully.

Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Work closely with teachers, support staff, and senior leaders to support student progress.

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people, either in education, coaching, care, youth work, or a similar setting.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.

A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs.

Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
