Working hours: 40 hours per weekInterview date: To be confirmedAn opportunity to join our team at Copper Beech Day Nursery registered GOOD with OFSTED to provide Early Years Care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Key Responsibilities: Under the leadership of the Nursery Manager and Room Supervisor, the successful candidate will work as part of the team to provide safe, high quality education and care for all children that attend the setting. To share in the planning and delivery of the EYFS by providing creative appropriate educational opportunities for all children within an inclusive environment. In addition, assume responsibility for the running of the room in the absence of the room supervisor.Additional Responsibilities: Ensure childcare knowledge and skill are kept up to date, taking note of all new policies and proceduresEnsure daily risk assessments are carried out and conduct risk assessments as requiredShow prospective parents around nurseryShare responsibility for the guidance and development of any students within the settingShare responsibility for ensuring all planning is complete to a high standard and is beneficial for the children's developmentKeep administrative procedures up to date and accurate, record all incidents appropriately Ensure that nursery is clean and hygienic at all times, ensure that daily cleaning is done, and any other cleaning is requiredAttend training as seen appropriate some of which may be out of nursery hoursDelegate responsibility and duties to staff when requiredUndertake other duties as required for the effective running of the nurseryThe successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:A full and relevant Level 3 qualificationA number of years experience of working in an Early years/Childcare setting.Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage.Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge around Safeguarding principles and procedures.Confident with IT - including a good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation ArmyIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS: Enhanced with barred list child workforce DBS Disclosure) and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
