Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced
Heavy Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic to join a well-established, leading family-run business in
Haverfordwest.
Working as part of the Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of
mobile and fixed plant equipment, helping to keep the business's operations running safely and efficiently.

47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
23 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
Key Duties
- Repair and maintain mobile plant including articulated dump trucks, wheeled loading shovels, 360 excavators, ride-on rollers, mini diggers, pavers, planers and other fleet equipment.
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on fixed plant, including asphalt, concrete and crushing equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Complete daily inspections of workshops and maintenance vehicles.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshop and maintenance areas.
- Follow all relevant health and safety and environmental procedures.
Requirements
- Completed an
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile and fixed plant.
- Good understanding of production processes, health and safety and environmental procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt effectively to changing priorities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional Saturday mornings.
indentured Plant and Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent experience in heavy plant maintenance.
