The Administrative Assistant and Attendance Officer (SAO) will be responsible for providing efficient administrative support, monitoring pupil attendance, maintaining accurate records, producing attendance reports. The role requires excellent organisational, communication, and data management skills, together with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for all pupils.Essential Skills and Experience:• Excellent communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills building positive relationship building with pupils, parents/carers, and external agencies• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload• Accurate record keeping and attention to detail• Maintain accurate pupil and staff records using the school's management information system Arbor• Prepare correspondence, letters, reports, and other school communications.• Assist with data input, data management, and statutory returns.• Organise meetings, appointments, and school events as required.• Support the administration of trips, clubs, and other school activities.• Confidentiality and data protection awareness (GDPR)• Time management and ability to meet deadlines• IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and school MIS system Arbor• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Positive relationship building with pupils, parents/carers, and external agenciesAttendance-Specific Skills• Monitoring and analysing attendance data• Identifying patterns of absence and lateness• Conducting attendance investigations and working in partnership with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, Link Governor for attendance and the Cluster SAO.
