Learning Support Assistant - Stockport

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education college to recruit experienced

Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with their learning, development and progression within a supportive Further Education environment.

Location: Stockport

Salary: £10 - £14 per hour

Contract: Temporary / Full-time & Part-time

Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and classroom-based learning support to FE students.

Support students with their academic, personal and social development.

Assist learners with additional learning needs and disabilities where required.

Work closely with teaching staff to support effective learning and student engagement.

Help students access learning materials and participate fully in lessons.

Encourage learners to develop confidence, independence and essential skills.

Monitor and report on student progress and any support needs.

Maintain appropriate records and follow college procedures.

Promote safeguarding, equality, inclusion, health and safety and positive behaviour.

Adapt support approaches to meet individual learner needs.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or similar role.

Experience supporting young people or adults within an educational or care setting.

A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider support team.

Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or SEND would be desirable.

Learners

Further Education students.

Learners with a range of additional learning and support needs.

Students requiring additional classroom, academic or personal support.
