Summary

To be responsible for undertaking a number of different audit functions within the Estates and Facilities Department including contracted services across the Division, condition appraisal and health and safety / compliance matters.

Undertake audits as requested and required by the Capital, Estates and Facilities Management Team.

Facilitate Quality Assurance in Estates and Facilities using standards defined in operating manuals and processes.

Be responsible, together with other Quality Assurance Officers to ensure continuing compliance with agreed standards and KPIs for all audits required by the Deputy Head of Support Services.

Be responsible for administration and preparation of performance and quality assurance audit results and reports.

Be responsible to collate and present quality assurance data obtained from current contractors services.

Be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the quality assurance programme in line with all current contracts within Estates and Facilities, (this will be by means of regular internal and external quality audits, visiting wards, departments, clinics and outpatient areas both on and off site).

Be required to report defects when noted as part of the audit process and then ensure that the control loop is completed and that rectifications have taken place.

On occasion, interact with patients to ask opinions of services as part of audit function or focus group.

Be expected to have good IT skills to be able to utilise IT systems (e.g. C4CPAS and Excel).
