Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join the team at Palace House Nursing Home on a self-employed/contract basis, working approximately 3–5 days per week.

The role will involve preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents, including catering for individual dietary requirements, allergies, modified-texture diets and preferences.

Responsibilities

Preparing breakfast, lunch, evening meals and snacks

Following agreed menus and residents’ dietary requirements

Catering for special diets, allergies and texture-modified meals

Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness

Completing food safety records, temperature checks and other required documentation

Managing stock and assisting with food ordering

Working closely with care and nursing staff regarding residents’ nutritional needs
