Summary

A Ward Manager is a senior nurse responsible for the day to day leadership and operation of a hospital ward.  The role combines clinical expertise, staff management, patient care oversight and administrative responsibilities to ensure safe, effective and high quality care is being delivered.

The main duties of the job are:

Patient Care and Safety

Team Leadership

Operational Management

Communication

 

Working as a Ward Manager, you will manage a team of individuals and together you will make a meaningful impact on patient care while leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team within a values-driven organisation.

You will work with teams within the organisation to improve patient outcomes and drive service improvement, contributing to Quality Improvement initiatives, staff well being and creating a positive ward culture that supports both patients and colleagues.

Training opportunities will be provided to develop and enhance your career progression.

We are looking for a highly motivated. dedicated  Rehabilitation Ward Manager, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in delivering high quality rehabilitation and patient centred care. Skilled in clinical leadership, staff development, discharge planning and operational management within a fast paced healthcare environment. The ward is a 24 bedded, mixed sex, rehabilitation ward and we care for individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery or long term health needs.
