Summary

Amersham Theatres are looking for a Theatre Support Worker to join our growing team. As an elective surgery site for the trust, we support operations from several specialties, including Plastic surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Oculo-Plastic surgery.

You will be supporting the care of patients undergoing local-anaesthetic operations under the direction of a registered nurse (RN) or operating department practitioner (ODP) and contribute to their support. Successful candidates will support theatre practitioners in the delivery of patient-focused care in our clinical surgical teams.

If shortlisted, you will be required to undertake an assessment, that should take approximately 15 minutes.

• Participate in circulating duties under the supervision of trained theatre staff

• collect sets and instruments for operating lists

• Maintain stock levels in the theatre and preparation areas

• Work as a member of the theatre team

• Carry out date checks on sterile instruments report any discrepancies
